A few weeks ago I wrote a letter to Michael D. Higgins and to my suprise he wrote back. I got a letter from his private secretary and a signed picture from Micheal himself and I also got a signed book of poems (written by the President). I wrote to him because my granny and grandad's dog and Michael D. Higgins two dogs (Shadow and Bruno) are brothers and sisters. Unfortunatly my granny and grandad's dog, Junge Frau, passed away 2 weeks ago. We are all very sad but happy about the letter.
