Spring has finally arrived!

23/3/2018

Hi! Emily here. About six weeks ago I wrote about how the shoots of the daffodils had started growing. Well I am very excited to tell you that after weeks of patience, the daffodils have finally arrived and they are absolutely wonderful. Everyone in our school is very excited about the beautiful flowers!

World Book Day 2018

23/3/2018

World Book Day was held on the 2nd of March 2018. However, due to Storm Emma coming to visit, it had to be postponed until the Thursday after, the 9th of March 2018.
6th class was treated to a visit by local author Louise Garcia, who wrote the the book 'Shelliky-Booky Land' based on her summer holidays as a child here in Clonmel. We really enjoyed the visit and we are going to use her tips in our own writing. Louise's book in available in the Late Late Food store and the Book Market for six euro and fifity cents and there are also some in our school library and in the Clonmel Library. It is a stunning read and we would definitely recommend it to children and adults alike.
On Thursday the 9th of March a huge range of characters from books from Harry Potter's to Ruby Redfort, from the Cat in the Hat to Little Red Riding Hood, and even a librarian or two arrived in school! In the school library, we held a constant Readathon from 8:30 to 4:00.
All in all we had a fun and brilliant day!!!!!!

A Long Way From Home!!!!!

14/3/2018

Hi guys!
Cara and Emma here from 5th class!
We are here to tell you about our story A Long Way From Home!
Hope you enjoy!!!

PREFIX........

Dear Diary,
Father went missing two days ago and we still don't know where he is.
Mother promised that he would come back soon, but I could tell by the grief in her eyes that him coming back is highly unlikely........
She reported him missing to the police and the policeman told her that he
could have enlisted in the army.
Mother said that could be true that could be true because he would do anything
for his country, but I don't think so.......

Signed
                   Darla Winston!!!!

Hope you enjoyed the prologue!!!
If you enjoyed, make sure to read the first chapter when it comes out!!!!!!
