We hope all our pupils and families are enjoying the Easter holidays. Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday 9th April. The snow is surely behind us now and we look forward to sunny, fun-filled days.
We would like to send our very best wishes to the pupils in Rang 6 who will be confirmed on Saturday 24th March. Thank you for preparing so well, girls. We hope you and your families will enjoy a very special day tomorrow.
5th class explored the work of hat designer Philip Treacy. They designed hats from recycled materials. They were presented with some challenges but worked together to overcome these and the finished results were fantastic! Take a look...
Congratulations to Conor who was runner-up in the Shield of the Munster Youth Championship Darts Competition. 60 youths from Waterford, Cork and Tipperary competed on the day. A very young Conor and his four team mates got to the final of the Shield having thrown super darts all day. Well done, Conor. What an interesting hobby.
The girls in 5th class worked very hard on their project based on their local area. They had two weeks to research and gather information about a local landmark. They presented their projects in a range of formats- book, A3 poster and even powerpoint presentations. I was blown away with the work that went into these projects and really enjoyed learning new information about Clonmel and surrounding areas. Well done girls!
TAKE A LOOK FOR YOURSELF! Well done to the girls who represented the school in the first round of the Credit Union Quiz. Our U 11 team performed very well and thoroughly enjoyed their first experience of an inter-schools quiz. Our U 13 team also enjoyed the occasion and to their delight ended the afternoon in first place! The girls now look forward to competing at the next level in March. Thank you to the girls for their enthusiasm and team-work, to the parents for giving their time and support and to the organisers in Clonmel Credit Union for providing such an entertaining afternoon. The questions kept young and old interested and intrigued! It's 25th January, one month after Christmas day, and the school is its usual hive of activity! We are busy playing, learning and developing new skills. Check out our photos and see some of our activities. December at last! What an exciting first weekend! Many of our pupils watched the 'Late Late Toy Show' on Friday night (great toys and great entertainment!). Saturday saw some of our 5th and 6th Class pupils providing the entertainment when they sang Christmas carols in O' Connell Street, much to the delight of their audience. Thank you to the girls for bringing Christmas joy to the streets, to Miss Conway for preparing the girls for the event and to the parents and families for their time and effort. Well done to all the girls from Rang a 3, Rang a 4, Rang a 5 agus Rang a 6 who ran in the Cross Country races in Marlfield on Wednesday last. Thank you to Ms. Skehan and Ms. Conway for supporting the girls on the day and to all the staff who helped out with lunchtime training. A great day was had by all. A special word of congratulations must go to Hazel, Rang a 6, who came in first in the 5th and 6th class race, much to the delight of her teammates We would like to send our best wishes to our past pupils. We hope you all are settling in well in your new schools. Enjoy this trip down memory lane! |
