Wishing all our pupils, families, staff and readers a happy St. Patrick's Day. This year is different, but we are thinking of you all and wishing you a lovely day. Have lots of fun!
Our senior pupils often work with and care for younger pupils in the school. On World Book Day Rang 6 read to Rang 1 and Rang 2. The children loved this friendly, cosy experience. Rang 2 later read their own stories to Junior Infants. Thank you all for contributing to the happiness and joy of World Book Day.
Maybe you thought you saw Wally in school when we celebrated World Book Day on Friday 6th March? Yes! We can confirm that Wally was in attendance that day. (Marked on the roll, according to Maeve!) Wally loves books and his message is 'Keep reading and enjoying books as much as possible.'
P.S. Remember to use your book voucher and claim your FREE book in a bookshop near you. Welcome back after spring midterm! Signs of spring are all around us now and these daffodils will welcome us to school for weeks to come. Here's wishing everyone a happy, healthy time. We can look forward to doing lots and learning lots!
,Spring is in the air again. We notice the shoots growing in the flower beds and we know that our daffodils will soon bloom. St. Brigid is remembered, and crosses and quilts appear in some of the art work around the school. It is a busy time in school and we enjoy all the new challenges.
Wishing all our pupils and their families a safe and fun-filled Hallowe'en. Thank you for your great efforts for the 'Make a Wish Foundation' on Friday 25th October. Your costumes were creative, interesting and varied. We hardly noticed that it rained all day - we just had great fun!
2018-2019 was a very busy and active year for us all. No wonder we were awarded our 'Active School' flag in June! Here is a selection of photos to remind us of some of the activities we enjoyed this year. Wishing all our pupils and their families a well deserved rest. Have lots of fun over the summer. Be sure to recharge your batteries! Speech and Language Class 2019, filmed in front of a green screen at Tipperary Institute Clonmel. The children made up a story about their vehicles. Have a look... June has burst in and we are busy as bees finishing up our year's work and planning special events such as Sports Day and school tours. The sun shines some days, but whether or not, we work and play and enjoy the brighter days. This is the time of year when we really enjoy nature. Wishing you all a joyful June!
We had the pleasure of a fire engine visiting our school in April. All the infant classes got a chance to sit in the fire engine and talk to our local fire fighter, Carol Meehan. It was a great treat and learnt the numbers to call if we are in troule...112 or 999!!
